The Fate of Montana Wildlife – A Panel Presentation in Bozeman
May 16 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join a panel of wildlife experts and stakeholders who share their thoughts on the lives and future of Montana’s iconic wildlife. Montana is the last refuge for rare and sensitive species facing many challenges to survival.
Our Esteemed Bozeman Panelists include: Bob Crabtree, Dr. Shane Doyle, Hilary Zaranek, Ben Scrimshaw, and Clint Nagel. The event will be MC’d by Tom Woods.
Lake Research Partners for Footloose Montana revealed that 99% of Montanans believe wildlife makes living in Montana special; 89% believe in fair chase hunting; 63% have an unfavorable impression of trophy hunting; 56% disapprove of delisting grizzly bears so they can be trophy hunted; 61% of voters have an unfavorable impression of trapping wildlife for recreation; and 59% have an unfavorable impression of trapping wildlife for commercial purposes.
Why doesn’t current policy reflect the views of the majority of Montanans? How can we secure a future for wildlife in the face of population growth, global warming and the trophy killing industry?
We have invited a panel of stakeholders with levels of expertise to take a deep dive into questions like these.
