MTFWP must become a department that focuses on wildlife conservation by prioritizing the needs of wildlife and wildlife habitat above political or special interests. The new agency should be called the MT Wildlife Conservation Department. This new organization would push for:

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (MTFWP) is a department of the state of Montana that is responsible for managing wildlife in Montana. In the United States, the Department of the Interior manages these public lands: National Parks; Wildlife Refuges; and, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands. The U.S. Department of Agriculture manages U.S. National Forests. Yet nationwide, the wildlife that rely on these different types of public land is managed differently by each individual state via a state agency or department, such as MTFWP in Montana. |
