A long-term goal of Footloose Montana is for all public land in Montana to be trap-free.
While we work to achieve this long-term goal, we also want to create trap-free areas on public lands near every major city in Montana for the safety of those who recreate on these lands.
Even MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the 2018 Trapping Advisory Committee (comprised mostly of people in favor of trapping) want more trap-free areas in Montana:
